Lift the grim reaper's cloak. Is he wearing underwear? I bet he isn't.
How do you make sense of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis at age 40? Leaving behind a young wife and two small kids? The answer is, you don't. You can't.
But for over four years, through nine months of chemo and two medical trials, I tried. I mean, I really tried. And, while I was at it, I also tried to understand why two women tried to fight me in a cancer ward waiting room. And why Santa Claus tied his own shoes together in 1984.
This life is absurd, but it seems it's the only one we have.
